“Ay caramba…” “I think I love you…”

The Trouble and Bass Crew has slowly begun to unfurl what appears to be a very well planned method upon which the collective is going to be a dominant force of underground dance music for years to come. Recently blending mainstream trending house rhythms with a quirky and iconic sense of style, the Trouble and Bass crew, though appearing to be the goth kids you went to school with, all grown up and cool, well, they are a lot more than that. Take for instance Drop the Lime’s hot summer single, “Sex Sax.” I’ll put my usual verbose nature on the shelf and proclaim this as hot ass, beach friendly, Latin tinged club music. Sweaty sax sample, lustful come ons, hand clap break, hi hat and a video featuring Kate Boyer, who is a really attractive redhead, and a lot of my favorite East Coast underground dudes, including but not limited to Dirty South Joe as the sax playing detective, plus Nick Catchdubs from Fools Gold and Telli from Ninjasonik with a cameo as well.

Are you interested in the last time I was so in love with a saxophone sample?

Everything old is new again.
