THE DROP: Come join Italian techno upstarts Blatta and Inesha’s "Pet Massage" & their sexy sexy rave!

29 Jul

I watched Blatta and Inesha open for Matt Nordstrom and Dave Nada’s pesky lookalike alter ego Orlando Villegas and Steve Aoki last year at Ibiza, and knew then that they were the goods. Their set was a slam bang electro rave, hitting all of the top hits of the moment, it was as if they were loading CD-Js with napalm instead of melodies, and only on a night where you’re playing with ostensibly Nadastrom and Aoki is this in any way acceptable behavior. Thier pace never dipped, and they appeared to be playing with the confidence of young spinners who know that their star turn is on the horizon.

Students of the Bloody Beetroots and MSTRKRFT school of rave, Blatta and Inesha are the next in line Italian wunderkinds. Bot and Phra, the Crookers are already established superstars. They released an album with 22 tracks with 30 guest spots. They’re already established and already have influenced the musical universe, unleashing the rave elements of Debonair Samir’s Bmore club classic “Samir’s Theme” and taking their careers to the next level. Blatta and Inesha, with latest track “Pet Massage” are establishing that they’re selling quirk, they’re selling sex, and they’re selling a minimal yet insistent brand of techno that firmly sets them on the road to superstardom.
